At the Lupus Foundation of Northern California (LFNC), we are steadfast in our vision for life without lupus. We know we can beat lupus if we continue to rally behind ongoing as well as novel efforts to find better treatment and a cure for this debilitating autoimmune disorder.
Like the famous line, “it takes a village,” we consider the participation of all sectors of the lupus and other communities very crucial as we continue to educate patients, families and health providers about the disease; keep everyone informed about, and participate in, lupus research efforts; and advocate for comprehensive and more effective policies and programs to bring about the best quality of life for those affected by lupus.
Like the beat of the drum that serves as a call to action and a united march towards a mission and destination, we ask patients, families, health providers, advocates, philanthropists, and policy makers to join us as we keep an unending vigil towards the day when lupus is no longer with us.
With your help, and with our committed partnership with the research community, we know we can beat lupus, but along the way, we need to stand in solidarity with individuals and families dealing with the everyday challenges of this disease.
The 21st Annual 5K Run & Walk will benefit the Lupus Foundation of Northern California. This year, we have chosen the theme, "Drumbeat to a Lupus Cure." Proceeds will help create greater lupus awareness, provide support services for lupus patients and their families, and encourage external lupus research efforts. Bring your family and friends for a fun day, and for a good cause!
Founded in 1978, LFNC has been providing valuable health education and support services for lupus patients, families and health professionals. Our mission is to be a premier source of information on lupus by providing programs and services designed to educate and increase the knowledge of those affected by lupus, promote lupus awareness, and support external lupus research efforts.
