Color in Motion

5K Run

Get out and get active while enjoying beautiful scenery and supporting our local youth here in Hannibal! Color in Motion is a colorful 5K run/walk to support the Hannibal Kids in Motion program. Color in Motion is untimed, but there will be a clock at the finish line for those who wish to note their time.
Participants of Color in Motion will have the unique experience of participating in the very first race through the beautiful Sodalis Nature Preserve, which was recently awarded to Hannibal to protect migratory endangered bats that have made their home in the preserve caves. Learn more here:
Kids In Motion (KIM) is a pre-employment/service learning training program for at-risk youth between the ages of 12-15. The mission of our program is to teach teens and pre-teens to value work, to value their community, and to value their future. More information can be found on the KIM Website

During the race, participants will be doused with a non-toxic dyed cornstarch powder. This powder will wash out of clothes, however participants should know that they will be fairly messy after the race is complete. We suggest bringing a towel to sit on in your car or a change of clothes for after the race.
