About This Event
The Run with the Nuns is a race through natural hills and picturesque scenery of Mount Assisi. This challenging all-terrain course features a variety of surfaces from asphalt to grass. All participants will receive a custom race medal and a long sleeve performance shirt.
$40 for adults. $20 for children 12 and under.
•Registration and Packet Pick Up opens at 7:30 AM on race morning.
•5K starts at 9:00 AM. Runners and Walkers will start at the same time!
•Race proceeds benefit the School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King.
Award Categories
Top 3 Men, top 3 Women, top 3 Youth Boy, and top 3 Youth Girls will be recognized and given an award.
Race Morning Timeline
Registration and packet pick up open at 7:30 AM.
5K (Walkers and Runners) start promptly at 9:00 AM.
Pre Race Packet Pick Up
Pre-Race Day Packet Pick Up and In-Person registration will occur at Mt. Assisi, 13860 Main Street, Lemont. Thursday, 10/12/23 from 5:00-7:30 PM and Saturday 10/14/23 from 8:00-10:00 AM.
Virtual Runners!
Do you want to Run with the Nuns but can’t make it?
Have you already signed up, but can’t join us anymore? WELL…. We’ve created a VIRTUAL RACE OPTION just for you!
Of course, we would love to have you join us in person, but we understand that sometimes things might happen and you may not be able to attend the event. We’re very excited to offer you a Virtual option to run or walk your race and get your shirt AND medal!
With our Virtual Run/Walk option, you choose the time and place to walk or run your 5K (3.1 miles). Of course, the Sisters will miss you, but you will be there with us in spirit! AND, you can still get some great gifts!
Your 5k can be done on your favorite running path, while on vacation, or around your neighborhood.
It's a simple process. Register today for the Virtual Race Option. After the Race, we will mail your shirt and medal. You can complete your 5K anytime from now until October 31st.
VIRTUAL RACE RULES
Cost is $40 which includes mailing costs to ship you your goodies.
Virtual runners cannot run the Official Course race.
After registering for the Virtual Race, you may complete your 5K (3.1 miles) until October 31st.
All 3.1 miles should be completed within one day/session and there is no time limit on the Virtual Run.
Your finish time will NOT be posted on the Race Results Page nor will you be eligible for any male/female awards.
Runners who signed up for the traditional course race are allowed to switch to the Virtual Race before October 12th by emailing carriepeters2@sbcglobal.net.
Shirts and medals will be mailed to the address listed on the registration form. We will NOT mail outside the United States.
