You made it amazing! You also individually raised more than $20,000 for 2SLGBTQIA+ charities benefiting queer youth and those trying to make a new and safe life in Canada. Thank you all! ❤️
Donations remain open - you can still contribute!
Hosting an event like this wouldn't be possible without help, and we're honoured to offer sincere thanks to Pride Run & Walk's generous sponsors: Brooks Running, Peace Tea, Forerunners on Main, City of Vancouver Sport Hosting Grant program, Organika, Innovative Fitness and CüR Laser & Skin.
Our incredible volunteers can't be thanked enough - some started their day at 5 am and were there until the last piece of waste was sorted properly, the field left spotless, and the trucks all packed. You made Pride Run & Walk happen and we all thank you.
Thanks also to the team at 2 Guys With Knives who helped us with our food program for racers and volunteers. Nothing went to waste - all surplus foods were immediately donated to a residence for queer folks in the downtown east side.
A special shout-out to the community engagement team at Vancouver Pride Society for having our backs and the Dragonboat Society for their generous loan of equipment.
There are so many to thank, and we will send a wrap-up email to everyone in the coming days. For now, please know that we see you all and thank you.
Happy Pride!

Pride Run & Walk features Canada's most beautiful 10k running course, a BC Athletics-certified qualifying race distance. This speedy and almost entirely flat route loops around the Stanley Park seawall, while the 5k course for runners and walkers mostly follows the 10k route towards Coal Harbour before returning to the 5/10k finish line near 2nd Beach in Stanley Park.
Pride Run & Walk is your community event, created by community volunteers for our community, and your 2023 post-race feedback survey responses guided us in improving the Pride Run & Walk experience, including post-race nutrition and scheduling. We've moved the start time earlier to help beat the summer heat and tuned the schedule to promptly get everyone on the course and back to the finish for hydration, racer snacks, awards, prizes and fun.
Our program starts at 8:00 a.m., the official welcome ceremony at 8:15 a.m., and the first runners will set off from the starting line at 8:35 a.m. sharp. We've got fun surprises in store for you before, during and after the race!
Pride Run & Walk is hosted by Vancouver Frontrunners, celebrating its 41st year of providing a safe and friendly environment for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their friends, and allies to enjoy running and walking.

I wasn't one of the first 500 early-bird registrants, can I buy a Pride Run T-Shirt? No, we do not have additional t-shirts for sale. We have 650 Pride Run & Walk Brooks technical tees to hand out for free; the first 500 registrants are guaranteed to get one, and the rest of our shirt supply will be given to those who aren't part of the first 500 but who show up at pre-race package pickup. Shirt or not, please help us out if you can by coming out to pre-race package pickup. Thank you to Brooks Running whose contributions to Pride Run & Walk make our t-shirt program possible.
Happy running and walking - we've got a great race and post-race ready for you - see you all soon!
