8th Annual David Shannon 5K
DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AND DANGEROUS COURSE CONDITIONS THE DAVID SHANNON 5K AND MILE FUN RUN/WALK HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THE SCHEDULED MAKE-UP DATE, JANUARY 4, 2020
Come out for a celebration of life with the Myers Park & Charlotte community. Join us on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:00 am for the 8th Annual David Shannon 5K and Mile Fun Run/Walk. The event promises to be a morning full of events. Participate in the 5K trail run or the 1 mile Fun Run/Walk to not only get in some exercise, but to spend time with your friends and family while supporting a great cause. Enjoy music, food, games, a raffle, and more! This family-friendly event is perfect for anyone looking to give back to an inspiring cause. The race will take place on the Myers Park High School Cross Country Course located at 2400 Colony Rd, Charlotte NC, 28209. All proceeds raised will go towards the David Shannon Scholarship Fund, which is composed of two scholarships founded in David’s name. One which is awarded to students that share traits with David, and the second for the Myers Park DECA program; to aid students in competition and with costs incurred by travel.
