Our sweet Jackson was diagnosed with high functioning autism, along with mixed receptive-expressive language disorder in January of 2013. He was 5, which is a bit older than kids that get diagnosed between 2-3 years old. We fought tooth and nail for a long time to get his diagnosis after being told Jackson would “grow out” of his developmental and communication speed bumps, we always felt differently. God had a plan for us and The ANGEL Program became available to Jackson and once we visited and discussed with the administration, we felt like it would be a good fit for us and for Jackson. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best decision we ever made for our family. He's since graduated from the program and our wish is to pay it forward for other families like ours to give their children with Autism the same gift that we were able to give Jackson.
