You know how much I love my pibbles... I know from personal experience that they are the purest souls and most intelligent minds. You also know I am a HUGE advocate for misunderstood breeds -- knowing how horribly they are mistreated, how negatively they are portrayed in the media and subsequently viewed by the public, and how precious and innocent they actually are. Prejudice against any human race or dog breed is ignorance. RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP contributes 110% to how a dog behaves, no matter the breed. The American Pit Bull Foundation partners with animal shelters to save homeless dogs and train them to be therapy dogs for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This cause is so dear to my heart, and I run this race for all the deserving pitbull babies in shelters waiting for a chance... and for all the veterans in need of a loving companion.
