My Story…
Many of you know my brother, Pat Kiefer, suffered a near death experience with an aorta dissection in his heart April 11, 2022. After his life saving surgery, he required cardiac rehabilitation to continue recovery. He found out the day before his rehab was to start, that his aortic condition was not on the list of approved diagnosis to qualify because most patients don’t survive this type of dissection. The nursing supervisor at Atrium Health Cardiac Rehab introduced a scholarship program that he qualified for, so he could get the much needed cardiac rehab for 12 weeks. The largest fundraiser for this scholarship is the Cupid’s Cup 5K & 1 Mile Walk. It will take place February 11, 2023 in Charlotte. When Pat and Kimberly , his wife, were going through this life changing event, many people asked how could they help, and they replied, “You can participate in the Cupid’s Cup Event in 2023!” Please consider supporting this event and giving back to families like Pat and Kimberly.
