My Story…
As many of you know, I had a heart attack on September 25th, 2022. The next day I had surgery to insert a stent in the LAD (left anterior descending artery) which was 98% blocked. Following the surgery, I have been participating in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Atrium Health Pineville. They have provided education about heart heath and stress management, a dietitian to help me make good food choices, and an exercise program to help me strengthen my heart.
The Cardiac Rehab team has been a tremendous help to me. I also have new friends who have shared similar experiences and their support is irreplaceable. Thanks to these resources and people I am stronger now and feel more confident.
Now I have the opportunity to give back by participating in the annual Cupid's Cup to raise funds for the program. Proceeds from the Cupid’s Cup 1 mile and 5K benefit Atrium's Cardiac Rehabilitation programs by providing funding for patient education, outreach, rehabilitation equipment and patient scholarships.
Thank you for supporting me through my recovery. The dollars I raise will directly benefit other heart patients during their recovery.
Donate to help Meg raise money for Cupid's Cup 5K’s fundraising campaign.
