π£ Happy Pride Month, everyone! π Today marks the start of a month-long celebration of love, diversity, and equality. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community and an avid runner, I'm excited to announce that I am participating in the upcoming Pride and Remembrance Run in Toronto, where I'll be running for a cause close to my heart.
π³οΈβπ The Pride and Remembrance Run is not just another runβit's a powerful initiative that raises funds for five incredible beneficiary organizations that are working tirelessly to support and uplift the LGBTQ community. This event has become an essential platform for driving positive change and making a tangible impact on the lives of LGBTQ individuals.
π Personally, my journey as a runner began exactly one year ago when I joined this wonderful race, and since then, I've participated in two runs here in Toronto. But this year, I want to take my passion for running to the next level by giving back to the community that has shaped me and connected me with my community. I firmly believe that every step I take during this run will be a symbol of unity, resilience, and progress.
π Now, more than ever, it's essential that we stand together and show our unwavering support for the LGBTQ community. Iβm participating in the pride & remembrance run!
I need your support, as the run is raising funds for 5 incredible non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The beneficiaries for this yearβs run are: Asian Community AIDS Services, Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, the 519, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation.
Itβs fast and easy to donate, and tax receipts will be issued for every donation over $20. Every donation matters, as we try to reach our goal of raising $300,000 this year! The projects and initiatives that these non-profits are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and I would be so grateful for your donation.
