My Story…
As most of you know, my dad is a Melanoma survivor, but you may not know I also lost a grandmother to Melanoma. I have had other loved ones and friends who have battled or lost someone to this cancer. This was an easy 5K to register for because I love running for a cause. Please help me reach my goal to further research for Melanoma.

What is the South End Shuffle?
The South End Shuffle 5k & Mile Run, presented by Skufca Law, Beacon Partners, and Wooden Robot Brewery is celebrating its 10th year on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, and is one of the premier events in South End, Charlotte. It was started by Attorney Ron Skufca of Skufca Law, PLLC, and over the past 9 years, has donated over $20,000.00 to local nonprofit organizations.
To celebrate a DECADE of the “Shuffle” we have set a goal to raise $10,000 on our 10th anniversary! Help us reach our $10,000 on 10 goal by donating today, any amount helps!
Our Beneficiaries
The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma was founded in April of 2008 in memory of Jessica Hodgkins Dovi who lost her life to melanoma cancer at the age of 30.
In addition to raising awareness of the disease and how to prevent it, the foundation seeks to recognize and benefit melanoma cancer researchers and all others working to cure melanoma cancer or support patients and caregivers, and to lead efforts to find better treatments and a cure for melanoma.

West Blvd Ministry's mission is to serve the spiritual and physical needs of the families and communities within the West Blvd corridor. Whether it's mentoring programs, food distribution, neighborhood cookouts, bible study bingo or our monthly BBQ For Blue, West Blvd Ministry looks to create a space that fosters healthy and lasting relationships.
This year, funds raised at the South End Shuffle will go towards purchasing back to school shoes for the kids of West Blvd Ministry.
