The RealPage BERG (Black Employee Resource Group) will be participating in Opal's Walk for Freedom on June 19th, 2023 in support of Ms. Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth", and Unity Unlimited, Inc.
On Monday, June 19th, Ms. Opal Lee will complete her annual 2.5 mile walk to recognize the 2.5 years it took for the news and enforcement of freedom to reach the enslaved people in Texas. Now a national holiday, Juneteenth celebrates the freedom gained when slavery was abolished all across the country. Unity Unlimited and Ms. Opal continue her walks to educate the nation on the importance of understanding that freedom is for everyone.
Join Opal, Unity Unlimited, and the BERG and walk through your neighborhood, on a treadmill, at a local track or wherever you can. Gather family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to help spread the word!
