My Story…
Hi! This is my 8th year running the Pride & Remembrance Run in Toronto and 9th year running a Pride 5K. This run is special to me as a member of the queer community and being active in various capacities in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. At work (Boston Scientific's Access Solutions), I have been a co-lead of the PRIDE Mississauga Employee Resource Group (ERG) chapter - Canada's first ERG chapter for Boston Scientific since 2022! I am also an active runner and marathoner and excited with my future involvement with Queer East Run Crew and FrontRunners Toronto - both Toronto 2SLGBTQIA+ run clubs that are spearheading the fundraising efforts! I’m participating in the pride & remembrance run!
I need your support, as the run is raising funds for 5 incredible non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The beneficiaries for this year’s run are: AndThenIWasFree, Durham Alliance Outreach, Rainbow Faith and Freedom, Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation.
It’s fast and easy to donate, and tax receipts will be issued for every donation over $20. Every donation matters, as we try to reach our goal of raising $350,000 this year! The projects and initiatives that these organizations are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and I would be so grateful for your donation.
