My Story…
I love the theme of this year's run! Remember you why! It's reflective in the sense that it's a reminder of the community's struggles and how far we've come. It also means that despite having come so far, there is still a need for continued support.
I was not familiar with several of the beneficiaries but I'm glad to see the diversity yet again, covering areas of mental health, bullying, religion and sustainable help, targeting students, indigenous peoples, people with HIV and also reaching communities outside the GTA.
You all helped me get to be the top individual fundraiser last year, and warms my heart that so many of you are generous enough to donate. I'm counting on your generosity again, and have set a very aggressive goal for myself.
Do take a moment, read through the beneficiaries and programs being supported if you want ... and donate, however large or small, if you are in a position to do so.
Your help will go a long way in improving our world.
Description
Hi friends!
I’m participating in the pride & remembrance run!
I need your support, as the run is raising funds for 5 incredible non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The beneficiaries for this year’s run are: AndThenIWasFree, Durham Alliance Outreach, Rainbow Faith and Freedom, Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation.
It’s fast and easy to donate, and tax receipts will be issued for every donation over $20. Every donation matters, as we try to reach our goal of raising $350,000 this year! The projects and initiatives that these organizations are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and I would be so grateful for your donation.
Thanks again for your support and remember your why!
