The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler Trail Race is the answer to your search for the most epic, spectacular trail race destination.
The Grampians Peaks Trail (GPT), the newest world class trail situated in Gariwerd, the Grampians National Park, is a 162km trail with 7,700 metres of elevation from Mt Zero in the north to Dunkeld in the south. The GPT passes through the rugged, stunning and varied terrain that the Grampians is famous for.
The race is broken up into four chunks, each with major aid stations. Much of your journey will be through remote wilderness areas, where the well-manicured GPT trail is a welcomed source of safety. There is a real sense of connection to nature and place.
From November 21-24, 2024, the central township of Halls Gap, just three hours’ (260km) drive north west of Melbourne, will play host to the event basecamp and headquarters.
The GPT 100 Miler caters to every trail runner with a quest to accomplish, achieve and experience the best that Australian wilderness has to offer.
Competing against each other - though mostly against yourself - runners will have the opportunity to race the full length, 162km from north to south, continuously or over a four-day stage race format. Team relay options exist for both the continuous or stage race formats.

GPT100 Stage Race Team Relay - Team Member Closed
Teams of three people can take on the stage race, covering the full 100 mile end to end journey in a new dynamic race format. Each runner will run one of the three legs on each of the four days. Each day of the stage race has two aid stations, which will be the relay changeover points for the runners. In this format teams can essentially run a third of the journey in bite-size pieces over four days. It allows access to any runner to experience the trail while having adequate time to recover and enjoy the festival atmosphere with their team. It also gives potential to a team of three runners to race hard over four days and cover the beauty of the Grampians at high octane.
