In 2015 our dad was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He went through chemo, radiation and a stem cell transplant that put his cancer into maintenance.
In 2022, we got the dreaded news that his cancer had returned. He continues to undergo chemo and is closely monitored through the Cross Cancer Institute.
Unfortunately, this past year brought on several other severe health challenges as a result of treatment and pain management medications, which we continue to navigate.
On July 20th, along with friends and family, for the 7th time we’ll be participating in the 5K fun run Multiple Miles for Myeloma. All donations go directly to Myeloma Research in Alberta through the University of Alberta/ Cross Cancer Institute.
