My Story…
Homelessness is more than just tents in the park. It is not having a place to turn or supports to lean on. It is having to decide between paying rent and buying groceries. It is loneliness and the need for community.
The Salvation Army’s Gateway shelter addresses all of these.
All funds raised through the 2024 Santa Shuffle will be used to operate The Gateway’s Drop-in program in 2025. This program provides safety, warmth, hot meals and a sense of community to those that need it most—typically these are individuals sleeping rough or who can’t afford groceries after they’ve paid their rent.
