Ben, Willa, and I are participating in the Santa Shuffle again this year in support of the drop-in program at The Gateway. The drop-in program provides meals, social connection, and a warm place for members of the community. It services the residents of the Gateway, as well as men and women who may live on a fixed income and are not able to stretch their income to cover meals. This program is mainly funded through the Santa Shuffle.

For many of the men and women who access the Gateway services, the stress of not being able to afford to live is constant, and the central way this plays out is by having to choose between paying their rent or buying groceries. The drop-in program helps to relieve some of this stress by meeting basic needs and allowing people on a very fixed income to stretch their money further.

Each year we are so grateful for your generosity and support of the Gateway's work. Last year we raised $2425 with your support!
