The YMCA creates thriving communities where everyone belongs and can shine. These include our 37 unique, cost-free community programs for children, youth, and families, including prevention and early intervention programs, education, literacy, and employment and human services offerings. YMCA of Northern Alberta, through its Strong Kids, Strong Communities fund, provides over $1,000,000 in subsidies annually for individuals and families with financial vulnerability to participate in programs and services. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay. More than 1,500 families access our free community support programs, and approximately one of every five members and participants access memberships, recreation programs, camps and childcare services at our YMCA through the support of direct financial assistance.
