Last year, one of my best friends, Krystal Hoople, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. After an incredibly brave fight, including a bone marrow transplant, she is now in remission. Just as we were taking a breath, our other best friend—Leanne Jodoin—was diagnosed with the same disease. What are the chances? Our hearts are shattered.
