This year, I am participating in Move for Melanoma Edmonton the 3 KM with my children, Cooper and Liam Johnston, in honour of my mother-in-law, Mary, who bravely fought but ultimately passed away from melanoma. Mary’s strength, kindness, and love continue to inspire us every day, and we walk in her memory to help other families facing the same journey. All funds raised through this event will stay here in Alberta, dedicated to expanding patient support services and programs for those touched by melanoma, skin cancer, and ocular melanoma. These services provide resources, guidance, and community for families navigating the challenges of diagnosis and treatment—support that can make all the difference when it’s needed most. By joining this cause, you’re not only honouring Mary’s legacy but also helping ensure that others don’t face melanoma alone. 💙
