As a mom of two incredible premature boys, my journey into motherhood was far from what I had imagined. Both of my sons were born prematurely, and we faced not one but two NICU stays filled with uncertainty, fear, and overwhelming emotions. Alongside the trauma of their births, I battled severe postpartum depression and anxiety, a struggle that left me feeling isolated and lost during what was supposed to be a joyous time. Through these experiences, I learned just how important it is to have support, understanding, and a safe space to share our stories. Now, I am committed to turning my pain into purpose by raising awareness about women’s mental health, particularly for moms navigating the challenges of prematurity, NICU life, and postpartum struggles.
