My Story…
This year I will be running my second ever 10K race. Just 10 months ago I started running and training for my first 10K race. At the same time, I was also just starting my own personal journey of healing my body through a recent diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) a condition that has affected our ability to start a family. I had no idea that running would soon become a way for me to help continue to heal my body both mentally and physically though that journey. Hormonal regulation and fertility have not been a linear process for me, but the community I have found with those who are walking similar paths has been the biggest blessing. I love that this race supports women’s mental health, and the money I raise for this race will be going specifically to BC Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Services, a program where women and their families are supported with care throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Thank you for your support and reading part of my story :)
