My Story…
On May 10th, I'm participating in the Run for Women, a fabulous event supporting women's mental health programs at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington.
Run for Women holds a deep personal meaning for me. As someone who had cared for both of my parents, I experienced firsthand the emotional toll that caregiving can take. Even though my parents have passed, the impact of that time still lingers, emotionally and mentally.
This run represents more than just physical movement for me. It’s a step toward healing, honoring their memory, and committing to my own well-being. Staying active has been a powerful way to support my mental health, and this event reminds me how closely our physical and mental wellness are connected. So, getting all laced up for 5 km.... 🏃♀️+🚶♀️...
Mental health affects so many women, especially those who take on the role of caregiver, and even as a parent. I’m taking part in this event to raise awareness and support for mental health programs that uplift and empower.
