Help JoAnne raise money

For participating in Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women - Oakville 2025

My Story…

This is my 4th year participating in the Run for Women's Health and I don't think I've done fundraising for it in the past because I know each of us has our own cause, our own expenses and let's be honest life is not cheap.

I thought I would throw it out there this time as most of us know someone or ARE someone facing mental health challenges, myself included.

Your donation will help support Halton Healthcare’s mental health programs by extending capacity of staffing/peer support, offering holistic/alternative services and creating new models of care targeted towards women and girls in our community.

Mental illness is the second leading cause of hospitalization among 20-44 year olds. With your support, women in our region can receive timely mental health care, skills building, education and support when they need it most. Each year, approximately 1,600 women are supported through programming funded by the Run for Women at Halton Healthcare.

Thanks to your donations, Halton Healthcare can offer programs such as the Halton Regional Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Service (CAPIS), Recovery Through Education for Adolescents and Children of Halton (REACH), the Eating Disorders Clinic, the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Service, and Outpatient Psychotherapy Services. Please help Halton Healthcare care for women and girls touched by mental illness living in Halton and the surrounding communities.
