2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS

Defence Force Policy

The TCS Sydney Marathon, presented by ASICS has implemented a formal policy regarding Australian defence force personnel, allowing registered participants to defer their entry if they are unable to participate due to deployment.

Those who have registered for the event but have since been deployed are entitled to defer their participation and entry fee to the following year's TCS Sydney Marathon in the same distance. Entries are not entitled to a refund or transfer to another participant.

Entries not redeemed after one year and within registration deadlines (subject to change) will no longer be valid.

To qualify for deferral under the defence force policy, participants must provide written confirmation of their circumstances with a deployment checklist or deployment plan.

Requests for deferral, along with the required written confirmation, must be submitted via email (info@sydneymarathon.com) no later than 5:00pm AEST 15 August 2025. Event organisers must respond with acceptance of the documentation for the deferral to be valid.
