I am running for my grandmother, Betty! She raised a wonderful family of six children despite the challenges of living with schizophrenia in a time when the illness was tremendously misunderstood and stigmatized. Every person deserves individualized, wrap-around support. I can only imagine the weight that could have been lifted off her shoulders with greater access to care. Much love for my Grandma Betty, moms and grandmothers everywhere in every era!
