Welcome! My name is Krista Sao and I'm a mental health clinician from Vancouver, BC. My team and I are doing this run as part of my stagette celebration! Being children of immigrant parents, we want to run for our mothers who've had to endure so much to make opportunities available for us in Canada. We run to acknowledge the mental load these women had to carry in silence. We hope to help end the stigma regarding mental health in the Southeast Asian community by speaking about the importance of seeking additional support when needed. I thank my team for agreeing to participate in raising money for a cause so personal and dear to me. Now more than ever, women need to be reminded how much they matter!
