My Story…
Why I’m Running — and Why It Matters
On Saturday, June 22, I’ll be participating in the Run for Women at Whitby Shores in support of women’s mental health programs at Ontario Shores, including the Shoppers Drug Mart® Women’s Clinic.
This cause is deeply meaningful to me. Mental health is not one-size-fits-all; and women often face unique challenges tied to reproductive health, motherhood, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I’m running for the women who are quietly carrying these struggles, and for the specialists working every day to help them heal.
Funds raised through this event support the Shoppers Drug Mart® Women’s Clinic, which provides short-term treatment for women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, as well as other reproductive-related mental health issues. Your donation also helps ensure that Ontario Shores can continue to deliver specialized inpatient and outpatient programs for women of all ages (from teens to seniors) offering compassionate, recovery-oriented care rooted in hope.
If you’re able to give, know that you’re helping women access the care they need to reclaim their mental health and their lives. Thank you for supporting this important cause. Together, we’re helping build a future where more women feel seen, supported, and strong 💜
