My Story…
Years ago, when the Blue Jays were in the thick of a few pennant races, I watched a short documentary and interview with Marcus Stroman. Marcus talked about the importance of his father in his life. If you've watched him pitch you may have noticed a tattoo he wears- “Family First.” People have the ability through their stories and examples in character and perseverance to inspire. The joy and purpose in the race is found in the stories, unity and perseverance of others overcoming. Through my life, the joy that creaps in-between the pain is found in the joy of others; their ability to shed light through their examples of running their race. I'm humbled and proud to be running this race with my children. I'm humbled for what the race teaches me about myself. About life. About other individuals who continue to run their race. The fundraising goals are a small symbol of coming together to serve a greater good.
