Mon histoire…
In 2023, our mom, wife, and wowa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Luckily it was caught early enough that the whipple surgery was a possible option. It took 9 months to determine if it was a for sure option due to mom’s history of liver disease. Then finally on May 28, 2024 she went in for the whipple surgery. The surgery was successful however as hard as she fought the complications she encountered were too much for her.
Sadly on July 8, 2024 she passed away surrounded by family.
We will be forever grateful to all the doctors, surgeons, and specialists that we met through mom’s journey. She was one of the fortunate ones that had the opportunity to beat this cancer via surgery and although the outcome was not what we had hoped for we know this would’ve been her best bet.
On November 30 as a family and in memory of our dear Minda we are run/walking in the Kicking PancreAS 5k. If you would like to contribute to this cause that holds so dear in our hearts we would greatly appreciate it and we thank you in advance for your support and love ❤️
