My Story…
I'm excited to be running—for the first time—the Pride Run 5K as part of Frontrunners Toronto! I joined the incredible FRTO community last year, and it's been amazing to find such a welcoming and supportive group of runners. Whether we're training together, motivate each other to compete, or simply share a beer at the local pub, Frontrunners has made running more than just exercise—it's about connection, celebration, and pride.
This year, I’m running not just for the fun of it, but to support vital LGBTQ+ programs that make a real difference. Funds raised will go toward organizations like Women’s College Hospital Foundation’s compassionate fund for transition-related surgeries, Sunshine Centre for Seniors’ OUT and About program fostering social connection, and Sherbourne Health’s Resilient Roads initiative training BIPOC queer youth as peer mentors. These programs provide essential care, community, and empowerment where it’s needed most. I’m participating in the pride & remembrance run!
Support and sponsorships for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and events are taking a hit from increasing anti-2SLGBTQ+ sentiment. The pride & remembrance run is dedicated to lifting up and raising funds for important 2SLGBTQ+ programs in the GTA.
You can help me support them as I raise funds this year for 4 incredible non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The beneficiaries for this year’s run are: Sherbourne Health Centre, Sunshine Centres for Seniors, the Women's College Hospital Foundation, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation.

It’s fast and easy to donate, and tax receipts will be issued for every donation over $20. Every donation matters, as we try to reach our goal of raising $325,000 this year! The projects and initiatives that these organizations are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and I would be so grateful for your donation.
