My Story…
Each year, we come together to walk or run in support of women’s mental health at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. It’s more than a fundraiser — it’s a visible expression of solidarity and shared purpose.
I chose the team name “Nevertheless, She Persisted” to honour women who pursue their goals, defend their rights, and advocate for their health — even when pushed aside or silenced. It’s a powerful acknowledgment of resilience.
Mental wellness shapes how we live, love, work, and lead. When that foundation is strong, everything built on it is steadier and more hopeful. This event reminds us we don’t walk alone. We gather not only to raise awareness and funds, but to affirm that we 'see' and support one another. Together, we continue advocating for better services for women and building a community rooted in strength and mutual support.
