Despite the progress we’re seeing, women’s health remains underfunded, under-researched, and too often misunderstood. In Canada, women represent over half the population, 47% of the work force and will own almost 50% of the wealth by 2030 —yet receive just 7% of national health research funding. We are see the consequences every day. Women are waiting years for diagnoses, or they are living with untreated conditions that limit not only their quality of life. At the same time, women are living longer than men—but spending 24% more of those years in poor health. So while women live longer, they are not living better. Women deserve better. And for me this is deeply personal. What is inspiring me most today is my daughter. I think about the health journey she will have… and I am driven by the belief that it must be better than mine. Better access. Better research. Better Outcomes. That is the standard and the responsibility we all carry.
