My Story…
For years, the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women in London has been part of my calendar. Not because I'm a natural runner, but because I believe in the quiet power of gradual progress (thanks Backroads :)).
Every meaningful goal I've reached started the same way: one small step, repeated. A single training run becomes a habit. A habit becomes a finish line. The same is true for the cause behind this race. Lasting change in women's mental health doesn't happen in one dramatic moment. It happens through steady, sustained support that adds up to something transformative.
But here's the part I've come to appreciate most: gradual progress is powerful on its own, and it becomes unstoppable when we do it together. One person taking a small step matters. A whole community taking small steps together changes everything. That's the power of collective support, and it's exactly what this race is built on.
That's why I'm running again this year. The funds raised support women's mental health programs in our community, services that meet women where they are and help them take their own next step.
I'd be grateful for your support. No contribution is too small, because small things, done together and done consistently, are exactly how big things get done.
