My Story…
Hi everyone, my name is Chelsea and I’m so excited to be running a half marathon in support of SCI BC!
I just finished my degree in Kinesiology at UBC, and I currently work as a supervisor at the Physical Activity Research Centre (PARC) at iCORD, where I support individuals with spinal cord dysfunction through adaptive fitness programming. I help members transfer onto equipment, lead exercise groups, and mentor volunteers, all while creating a space where people feel comfortable, supported, and included.
Working here has really opened my eyes to how important accessible exercise is. I have seen how it can build independence, confidence, and a real sense of community. It is a big reason why I want to become an occupational therapist and continue giving back.
Thank you so much for your support, it is truly appreciated!
