DID YOU KNOW...
Cassie+Friends is the only charity in Canada that supports children and families living and coping with juvenile arthritis and other childhood rheumatic diseases. These are debilitating, chronic and most often misunderstood conditions.
More than 25,000 children in Canada are living with these conditions.
Yes, public awareness remains critically low. Just 19% of Canadians (or 1 in 5) are aware kids can get arthritis - including amongst healthcare professionals and schools. This lack of understanding leads to delayed diagnosis, missed support, and deep isolation for kids and families.
The impact goes far beyond the physical. Up to 40% of children experience mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. Because childhood arthritis affects the whole family, siblings and caregivers carry a heavy burden too.

I’m proud to be fundraising for Cassie + Friends, a Canadian charity dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families affected by juvenile arthritis and other childhood rheumatic diseases such as lupus, JDM, vasculitis, and autoinflammatory fever syndromes.
For these kids, living with juvenile arthritis affects far more than their joints. It can mean ongoing pain and fatigue, missed school and activities, frequent medical appointments and injections, and learning to navigate a complex healthcare system far too young. When diagnosis or care is delayed, the consequences can last for years. Families often begin this journey feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure where to turn.
Cassie + Friends helps change that — by connecting families early, providing trusted education and practical support, and investing in research that leads to better care and brighter futures.
