My Story…
After starting running as a New Year’s resolutions this Jan, I ran the BMO half under 93 minutes. Now, I have a goal of running the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon under 90 minutes.
But, as I push my limits on the race, I want to help lift up our local community. That is why I’m fundraising for Megaphone Magazine. If you live in Vancouver, you have likely seen Megaphone vendors proudly selling magazines outside your local grocery store.
Megaphone is a Vancouver-based social enterprise that creates meaningful work and income opportunities for people experiencing poverty and homelessness through magazine sales, storytelling and community programs. Through its publications and initiatives, Megaphone aims to amplify marginalized voices and change the story on poverty.
