About Tali and Our Mission

Tali was a bright and joyful 4-year-old who inspired many with her strength and determination during her battle with a rare and aggressive brain tumour called ATRT. Her legacy lives on through Tali’s Fund, established to honour her memory and to fight against the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among children under 20: brain tumours.

Our Impact

Since 2007, Tali’s Fund has been supporting childhood brain cancer research at SickKids Hospital, helping drive discoveries that change lives. See the impact we’ve made.

Brain tumours are still complex and hard to treat, but progress is happening. In February 2026, the DECRYPT-BABYBRAIN clinical trial launched, uniting families, researchers, and doctors to better understand and treat brain tumours in babies and young children.

Family Support Initiatives

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the toll on families is immense.

Tali’s Fund has partnered with like-minded organizations such as Kindred Foundation, Phoebe Rose Rocks Committee, and Childhood Cancer Canada to expand support for families across Canada facing childhood brain cancer. Through these partnerships, we aim to reduce financial stress, provide practical resources, and ensure families have the guidance and assistance they need during this challenging time. We also maintain an extensive database of family support resources on our website, actively promoting it so families can easily access information and help. Our commitment is to keep this resource current and continually add new supports as they become available.

How You Can Help

Join us in our fight by participating in the TCS Waterfront Marathon. Register to walk or run the distance of your choice - 5K, half marathon, or full marathon.
