It is a privilege to be a lawyer at JFCY.

At JFCY, we know  childrens rights are a part of the health and well-being of our clients.

We help children and youth - for free - by addressing their legal issues and by building connections to community services. 

No matter how many hours we work, we know the demand and need for our services far outweighs our capacity. 

Our child and youth clients are often stripped of their childhood by experiences of family based violence, housing instability, discrimination and lack of adult supports. 

Our child and youth clients are facing exclusion from the systems and supports that as adults we believe are designed to support and assist young people. Children and youth face challenges accessing schooling, obtaining ID documents, receiving accommodations, and much more.

Adults often penalize children and young people when these challenges show up as "problematic behavior" like youth crime. 

I am running to help more children and youth outrun these injustices.
