Why I'm raising funds to rescue cats and kittens in need...
This October, I’ll be running my first-ever half marathon - my longest race yet - and honestly, it still feels pretty surreal! When I signed up, it wasn’t just about pushing myself through 21.1 km, it was also about doing something meaningful along the way.
I’m a proud cat mom to two floofy boys, including one rescue who completely owns my heart. If I could, I would happily become the person who adopts every cat I see at shelters. Since that’s not exactly realistic, I’m doing the next best thing: using this race to help more cats find the loving homes they deserve.
Running with Team Toronto Cat Rescue gives me the chance to support an organization that changes the lives of cats and the people who love them. Helping raise funds feels like a way to open the door for someone else to adopt the cat they’ll one day call their fur baby.
Training for this half marathon has become a personal challenge I’m excited to rise to. I’m inspired to cross that finish line not just to check off a milestone, but to prove to myself that I can.

TCR saves and finds forever homes for more than 2,500 cats each year They believe every cat deserves a second chance at finding a loving home, and I'm running the marathon to help them get there.
