Why I'm raising funds to rescue cats and kittens in need...
Last year I ran the Toronto waterfront marathon for the second time. While I was proud of the hard work I put in in order to achieve that dream again, I was even prouder to have personally raised a grand total of $673 for the Toronto Cat Rescue - a charitable organization that rescues an average of 2500 cats a year from cases of neglect, animal cruelty, and abandonment.
While I am not running the full marathon again this year (opting instead for an “easier effort” of 3 21.1km half marathons and a 16km trail run in the span of 6 weeks), I would still like to raise funds and awareness for this wonderful charity.
I believe every animal deserves a loving home and our donations can change the lives of many cats in need of a second chance at life.
