My Story…
I’m running the Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 18 in support of Tim Hortons® Foundation Camps, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Tims Camps for almost nine years, and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact it has on young people. Youth arrive at camp unsure of themselves and leave with greater confidence, new friendships, a sense of belonging, and a belief in what they are capable of.
That’s what makes Tims Camps so special to me. It’s not just about camp - it’s about giving young people the skills, confidence, and support they need to create brighter futures. And the best part is that these life-changing programs are provided at no cost to youth or their families.
I’ve also run every single day I’ve worked at Tims Camps, and this marathon feels like a chance to take a page out of our own books. I’m putting the same tools we teach youth into practice: setting a goal, stepping outside my comfort zone, persevering when things get hard, hitting the pavement no matter what life throws at me and believing in what I’m capable of.
So this marathon means more to me than simply crossing a finish line. Every mile is for a cause I believe in deeply.
Help me cross the finish line and help give more young people the opportunity to discover their potential. Thank you for supporting me, and the incredible youth at Tims Camps.
