My Story…
I am running the 2026 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise money for the SickKids Foundation, where my sister spent many summers undergoing treatment during her early childhood. Growing up in the Northwest Territories, we are very familiar with the difficulties of accessing healthcare that northern families face - especially indigenous families in more rural communities. Our family frequently traveled back and forth between Yellowknife and Toronto so that she could receive the care she needed. Despite the frustrations that most northern residents share due to the lack of healthcare and mental health resources, our family is grateful for all the support that SickKids was able to offer us.
