My Story…
Those who know me know that I enjoy distance running. All marathons and races I’ve run in the past few years have been for personal health and lifestyle reasons.
But this last year has been a big eye opener for me as I’ve watched my mom battle alzheimer’s disease. Watching someone you love face this illness is incredibly difficult and I didn’t fully understand the significant impact this disease has on the individual and their family. I have learned a lot about the disease and the important research and support the Alzheimer’s Society does.
So for this year’s Toronto Waterfront half marathon, I want to turn that challenge into something positive by raising funds to support research, care, and resources for those affected.
Every step I take is for my mom and for the millions of families navigating the impact of Alzheimer's. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, will help make a difference in the fight against this disease.
Thank you for supporting a cause that means so much to our family.
