Help Tsige raise money

Our journey began in Eritrea, where government restrictions on political and religious freedoms,  as well as democratic values, profoundly affected our lives. After facing persecution and imprisonment, our family members, one by one, made the difficult division to leave Eritrea. We walked for days, crossing the border into Ethiopia, in search of safety and freedom. 

There, our lives as refugees began. We endured the uncertainty and hardships of displacement while holding on to hope for a better future. Eventually, we were given the incredible opportunity to be sponsored to Canada by the Holy Trinity Refugee Committee, a wonderful and compassionate group of Canadian sponsors.

Their generosity changed the course of our lives. Being welcomed to Canada was a blessing that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. We remain deeply grateful for the kindness, compassion, and generosity that gave our family a chance to rebuild our lives in safety and freedom.
