Taking part in Islington United's Walk the Walk for Social Justice is one way that I can embody my commitment to social justice. The funds raised during this campaign help to fight against hate of all kinds, to work toward reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, to help feed people through IUC's Giving Garden and Mabelle Food Program, to support immigrant newcomers to Canada through programs such as Conversational ESL and the programming of the Metropolitan Protestant Francophone Church of Toronto, and to support our global neighbours through Mission & Service of the United Church of Canada.
