Join me and make a difference in childhood cancer!
Hello friends and family!
I'm running the TCS Half Marathon (21.1km) in October 2026 to achieve a few personal goals. Of these, the most meaningful is to make a positive difference in the lives of children with cancer in my own small way through fundraising.
ANY amount is genuinely appreciated! Funds will go directly to Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO), which is an organization that helps kids with cancer get the specialized care they need through programs that make treatment more accessible for families. This means that, regardless of whether a kid lives right beside SickKids (Toronto) or rural Thunder Bay, the child and their family can focus on recovery, and less on their expenses (transportation, accommodation, etc.).
Thanks so much for considering, and I hope you have a great day! :)

Description

There are over 4,300 families in Ontario with a child in cancer treatment or follow-up care each year. More than 80% of children diagnosed with cancer in Ontario will survive, but many of these survivors will experience complications either due to the disease itself, complex surgical procedures, or the rigorous rounds of radiation and chemotherapy they were given during treatment.
Funds raised will provide:
- financial assistance to families so they can pay for out-of-pocket costs associated with their child’s treatment
- support survivors with customized school and work counselling when their disease or its treatment has left them with learning challenges
- fund promising research that examines the impact of childhood cancer and its treatment.
Meet the Wynette’s and learn how they were supported by POGO through their childhood cancer journey.
Thank you for your support!
