No one, anywhere, should have to live without clean water …let alone right here in Canada.

WaterAid Canada is doing the work (and has been for almost 4 decades) to help make clean water a reality for everyone, everywhere. And over the next few months, I’m going to do my small part. 

Here’s the thing: I DO NOT want to run 5k with a Jerry can for a charity race 😅 it sounds hard. 

But I don’t HAVE to do this.
I get to. 

I get to train for a race knowing that I can turn on a tap at home when I’m thirsty. I get to carry water for 5k by choice and put it down when I’m done. For millions of women and girls, that isn’t a challenge they signed up for as part of everyday life. 

So come along for the journey. We’re going to run, cry, workout, talk A LOT about water, and hopefully do something meaningful along the way. 

To build an entire water system for a community it costs about $10,000 …. So that’s my fundraising goal. An entire community with water close to home. Let’s see if we can make it happen <3
