My Story…
I'm running the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in support of Shelter Movers, a registered Canadian nonprofit charity that provides free moving and storage services to women, children, and families fleeing abuse. Shelter Movers is the only organization of its kind in Canada, helping survivors overcome one of the biggest barriers to leaving unsafe situations. Since launching in 2016, they have helped thousands of people safely move toward a life free from violence. Your donation will directly support this vital work, providing safety, dignity, and hope to those starting a new chapter.
As a survivor of domestic violence myself, I appreciate that Shelter Movers provides practical, tangible support to individuals and families who need help safely transitioning out of abusive situations.
